Artist's Comment:

I like to juxtapose fluidity and formal stylization in sculpture - the kind of thing the ancient Egyptians were masters at. Here I'm trying to achieve maximum "monumentality" through the formal stylization of the figure while retaining some fluid, freeform qualities in the piece. And of course I also drag in the cheezy esthetic of the "dime store" sculpture & furnishings from the '50s.

There's another piece very similar to this one, with a dark finish. Post pix when I get'em. Ciao mon!
